Security Forces Bust Maoist Arms Manufacturing Unit in Chhattisgarh Forest – 17 Rifles and Rocket Launcher Seized

Security forces uncovered a secret Maoist weapons factory hidden deep inside the forests of Sukma district, marking a major success in anti-Maoist operations.

According to officials, a team from the District Reserve Guard (DRG) was conducting a search operation on Tuesday in the Gonguda–Kanchal forest area when they discovered the Maoists’ underground ordnance factory.

From the site, the forces seized 17 rifles, a rocket launcher, weapons-making tools, and various other equipment used to manufacture arms and ammunition.

Confirming the operation, Superintendent of Police Kiran Chauhan said that Maoists should give up violence and return to the mainstream for a better future. He also praised the DRG team for their well-planned and successful mission, adding that this operation has eliminated a significant threat in the region.
