Andhra Pradesh Ignored in the Budget 2025

New Delhi, 2 February – Congress has sharply criticized the 2025 Union Budget, particularly pointing out the focus on Bihar while neglecting Andhra Pradesh. Jairam Ramesh highlighted the numerous announcements made for Bihar, accusing the budget of overlooking Andhra Pradesh.

Ramesh stated that since elections are scheduled in Bihar later this year, there was a flood of announcements for the state, while Andhra Pradesh was completely ignored.

Manish Tewari also questioned whether the budget was for India or just for Bihar, as the Finance Minister’s speech did not mention other states. The budget made several key announcements for Bihar, including the formation of a Makhana Board, the expansion of Patna Airport, and the establishment of a National Food Technology Institute. These projects are expected to benefit Bihar’s farmers and create new job opportunities in the state.
