Hyderabad: Kukatpally Superintending Engineer (SE) Caught Taking ₹15 Lakh Bribe by ACB

In a major anti-corruption action, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught a senior GHMC officer red-handed in Hyderabad. Kukatpally Zone Superintending Engineer (SE) Chinna Reddy was arrested while allegedly taking a ₹15 lakh bribe.
According to officials, the ACB conducted raids at the GHMC Kukatpally zonal office after receiving a complaint from a contractor. The contractor alleged that the officer had demanded a bribe for clearing and approving pending bills.
Based on the complaint, ACB officials laid a trap and caught Chinna Reddy while accepting the bribe amount. After the arrest, ACB teams began searches and verification of official records and documents at the office.
The ACB is also investigating Chinna Reddy’s assets and financial details to check for disproportionate assets and other irregularities. Further inquiry is currently in progress.
