Huge Ganja Seizure in Aswaraopet, Telangana

Dammarpeta – Telangana, 7 July – (www.deccanlive.com): On Monday morning, police found a large quantity of ganja (marijuana) near Achyutapuram village, which is located on the border of Aswaraopet and Dammarpeta mandals, Telangana.

The ganja packets were discovered in a canal next to an oil palm farm. An unknown person had hidden 44 packets of ganja in the canal. Due to heavy rainfall on Sunday night, the water level in the canal rose, and the packets floated up and became visible.

The farm owner, who came early in the morning, saw the floating packets and immediately informed the police.

Aswaraopet CI Nagaraju and Dammarpeta SI Sai Kishore Reddy reached the spot and seized the ganja.

The police are now investigating how the ganja got there and who is responsible for placing it.

Officials estimated the market value of the ganja to be around Rs. 50 lakhs.
