In the West Bank, hundreds of Palestinian families are anxiously waiting for the release of their loved ones.

Tel Aviv, 23 February – (www.deccanlive.com): Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has postponed the scheduled release of more than 620 Palestinian prisoners after Hamas freed six Israeli hostages.

According to the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, Hamas used the prisoner release for political propaganda. Because of this, the Israeli government decided to delay the release of Palestinian prisoners.

Netanyahu made it clear that Palestinian prisoners will not be released unless Israeli hostages are freed without any ceremonies.

Meanwhile, in the West Bank, hundreds of Palestinian families are in deep anxiety, waiting for the release of their loved ones. Many Palestinians have been imprisoned in Israeli jails for years, and their hopes of freedom under the ceasefire agreement are fading.
