Tired of working indoors every day? Soon, employees, business owners and startup founders in Cyberabad will have a new option to work in a peaceful green environment.

The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has introduced a new initiative called ‘Work From Park’ to provide people with a comfortable workplace surrounded by nature. The idea is to offer an alternative to working from offices or homes.

Under this project, parks will be developed with facilities similar to those available in modern offices. The initiative is aimed at employees of IT companies, business professionals and young entrepreneurs.

CMC Commissioner G. Srijana said the corporation plans to develop 30 parks under this project. Work has already started at two locations in the first phase, and the parks are expected to open by January 1, 2027.

Speaking to the media at the CMC head office in Madhapur on Saturday, the commissioner said this is the first initiative of its kind in the country.

Two Parks Selected for the First Phase

The first two ‘Work From Park’ locations are:

Madhav Hills, Majeed Banda: A park spread across 1.5 acres in the Serilingampally Zone.

Madhapur: A one-acre park in the Kukatpally Zone.

Development work is currently underway at both locations.

Facilities Available at Work From Park

The parks will offer several facilities to make working outdoors comfortable and convenient.

Key facilities include:

  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Comfortable chairs and workspaces
  • Co-working seating arrangements
  • Cafeteria
  • Meeting hall with a startup theme
  • Amphitheatre
  • Walking track
  • Electric vehicle charging points
  • Restrooms
  • Green surroundings with plenty of trees
  • CCTV cameras for security

The parks will remain open from morning until midnight, allowing people to work at different times of the day.

Nominal User Fee to Be Charged

According to Commissioner G. Srijana, the parks will be open to the public from next year with a nominal user fee.

The corporation will study public feedback after the first two parks become operational. Based on the response, similar facilities will be developed in other areas of Cyberabad.

The initiative is expected to provide a refreshing work environment for IT employees, freelancers, professionals and startup founders who prefer working away from crowded offices and homes.
