Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has confirmed that its intelligence chief, Majid Khadmi, was killed in an early morning attack allegedly carried out by the United States and Israel.

According to official statements, Khadmi was targeted on Monday in what Iran described as a coordinated strike by “American and Israeli forces.” The incident marks a significant development amid rising tensions in the region.

Majid Khadmi had been serving as the head of the IRGC’s intelligence wing since June 2025. He was appointed after the previous intelligence chief, Mohammad Kazemi, was killed in an earlier Israeli airstrike along with other senior officers.

The IRGC stated that Khadmi had decades of experience, contributing nearly 50 years to Iran’s intelligence and security sectors. He played a key role in countering foreign intelligence operations and protecting the country’s internal security.

In a separate statement, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz reportedly confirmed Israel’s involvement in the attack, claiming responsibility for the operation.

The killing of a top intelligence official is likely to further increase tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel, as the region continues to witness escalating military actions.
