Shocking Crime in Bihar: 26-Year-Old Woman Gangraped Inside Ambulance During Home Guard Recruitment

Gaya, Bihar – 26 July – (www.deccanlive.com): In a horrifying incident, a 26-year-old woman who had come to Gaya for Home Guard recruitment was gangraped inside an ambulance by the driver and technician. The police have arrested both accused, who also threatened the victim to stay silent after committing the crime.

Fainted During Physical Test – Taken in Ambulance

The incident happened on July 24 at the BMP-3 ground in Gaya, where physical tests for Home Guard recruitment are being held. The woman, who came to participate, fainted while running during the test. She was immediately put in an ambulance for treatment.

But what happened next turned a rescue vehicle into a nightmare.

Assault Inside the Ambulance

According to police reports, the ambulance technician first raped the woman while the vehicle was moving. Later, the driver stopped the ambulance at a deserted spot and also assaulted her.

The victim revealed that the technician sprayed something on her face to make her unconscious. “I could barely hear voices. When I regained some sense, I realized what had happened,” she told the police.

After the assault, the accused dropped her at Magadh Medical College Hospital, where she told a female doctor everything. The doctor immediately informed the police.

CCTV Exposes the Crime

Police officers scanned CCTV footage from the route. The video showed the ambulance deviating from the main road before returning, which confirmed the victim’s statement.

The arrested accused have been identified as Vinay Kumar, the driver from Gaya district, and Ajit Kumar, the technician from Nalanda district. Forensic teams have also collected evidence from the ambulance and seized the clothes of the victim and the accused.

Recruitment Still Underway

This incident has shocked everyone involved in the Home Guard recruitment, which is being held to fill 15,000 posts across Bihar. In Gaya alone, 909 posts are to be filled, and the physical tests are being conducted from May 21 to July 26.

Police Action

A case has been registered at Bodh Gaya police station, and both the accused are now in custody. Investigations are ongoing, and police have assured strict action.
