In a shocking case of fraud, police in Bijnor district have arrested a woman posing as a judge and her associate for attempting to secure a personal loan of ₹35 lakh from HDFC Bank using fake documents.
According to police, the woman has been identified as Ayesha Parveen, a resident of Dadhedo Kala village in Muzaffarnagar. Her accomplice, Anas, was introduced as her personal assistant. Ayesha allegedly misled bank officials by claiming she was serving as a judge in Rampur.
Suspicion arose when the bank manager found discrepancies in the service card and salary slips she presented. A detailed verification confirmed that all documents were forged. Matters escalated when Ayesha arrived at the bank in a car fitted with a blue beacon and the word “Nyayadhish” (Judge) displayed on it. Police, already alerted, arrested her on the spot.
Investigations revealed that two years ago, Ayesha had told her villagers that she had cleared the PCS-J exam and become a judge. She was warmly welcomed in her village and later claimed her posting was in Rampur. Villagers, believing her story, even invited her as a chief guest at college programs, treating her like a VIP.
In reality, Ayesha was living in a rented house with a friend, paying only ₹10 per month.
Police have sent both the accused to jail, and further investigation into the case is underway.
