Interfaith Suhoor Held at Abu Dhabi Temple

Abu Dhabi, 23 March – (www.deccanlive.com): The management of Shri Akshar Swaminarayan Temple in Abu Dhabi organized a special event during Ramadan to promote religious harmony and tolerance.

The event, called “Omasiyat,” was attended by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, along with other prominent leaders and ambassadors.

Around 200 religious leaders, government officials, diplomats, and distinguished guests from different countries participated in the gathering.

Minister Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak stated that the purpose of this event was to highlight the values of faith, friendship, unity, and reflection during Ramadan.

Temple priest Brahm Vihari Das Swami said that Omasiyat has become a strong platform for promoting mutual respect, dialogue, and understanding among different religious communities.

At the end of the event, a “vegetarian iftar” was arranged, featuring a mix of Indian and Arabic cuisine.

Last month, the temple celebrated its first anniversary, and in April 2024, it will host another interfaith event during Ramadan.
