Strong Earthquake Tremors Felt in Delhi-NCR

New Delhi, 17 February – (www.deccanlive.com): Strong earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR on Monday morning. The earthquake was recorded at a magnitude of 4 on the Richter scale.

According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the tremors occurred at 5:37 AM on Monday in Delhi-NCR.

The earthquake had a magnitude of 4 and its epicenter was located 5 kilometers below the surface in the National Capital.

Tremors were also felt in areas around Delhi, including Faridabad, Gurugram, Rohtak, Ghaziabad, Noida, and nearby regions.

As a result of the earthquake, fans inside houses started shaking violently, and utensils moved. People, fearing for their safety, rushed out of their homes.

NCS reported that the earthquake’s magnitude was 4.0 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was located at a depth of 5 kilometers below the surface at 28.59 degrees North latitude and 77.16 degrees East longitude.

Delhi Police advised people to dial the emergency service number 112 in case of any problems. No reports of casualties or damage have been received so far.
