RTC Bus Crashes Into Lorry in Jangaon; 2 Killed, 6 Seriously Injured

A tragic road accident took place early Sunday morning near Nidigonda in Raghunathpally mandal, Jangaon district. A Telangana RTC Rajdhani bus crashed into a sand-filled lorry that was parked on the roadside.

The impact was extremely severe. The front portion of the bus was completely crushed, leaving several passengers trapped inside.

Two passengers died on the spot. They were identified as Om Prakash (75) from Dundigal, Hyderabad, and Nawdeep Singh from Balasamudram, Hanmakonda.
Six more passengers suffered serious injuries and were immediately shifted to the Jangaon Government Hospital, where doctors said some of them are in critical condition.

After receiving information, police and local residents rushed to the spot. A rescue operation was carried out using cranes and ambulances to free the trapped passengers.

Police said the accident may have occurred due to the bus driver’s negligence and because the lorry was parked on the highway without proper signals. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
