Yasir Abu Shabab, the notorious leader of an Israel-backed criminal gang in Gaza, has been confirmed dead. He was well known for working with Israeli forces, targeting Hamas members, and stealing humanitarian aid during the ongoing war.

Arab and Israeli media reported that Abu Shabab gained a bad reputation for his pro-Israel activities and for attacking resistance groups. He was also accused of seizing aid trucks meant for Gaza’s civilians.

According to reports, Abu Shabab was killed during clashes with local tribal groups in Gaza. After the confrontation, he was taken to Soroka Medical Center in southern Israel, where doctors confirmed his death.

Arab media further reported that his gang, known as the “Popular Forces,” often took control of incoming humanitarian supplies. The group was also accused of kidnapping Palestinians and handing them over to the Israeli army.

A local journalist in Gaza said that full details of his death are still unclear. However, the main question remains: Who killed him?
Hamas-linked security force “Radaa” shared his photo online with a message:
“As we said before… Israel will not protect you.”

Reports also revealed that Hamas had previously arrested Abu Shabab in several drug-related cases.
