New Aadhaar App Launched: No Need to Carry Aadhaar Card Anymore

Many people worry when they forget to carry their Aadhaar card while going out for important work. To solve this problem, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched a new Aadhaar mobile app. This app allows users to store their Aadhaar details on their phone and share them easily whenever needed.

Android users can download the app from the Google Play Store, and iPhone users can get it from the Apple App Store. The app gives users a paperless experience, making Aadhaar use simpler than ever.

UIDAI already has an app called mAadhaar, but the new app is different. This new Aadhaar app is mainly designed for saving and sharing Aadhaar details. It does not include features like downloading a digital card, ordering a PVC card, verifying email or mobile number, or generating a virtual ID.

What’s in the New Aadhaar App?

1. You don’t have to carry your Aadhaar card everywhere; it stays safely stored in your phone.
2. You can save the Aadhaar details of your entire family on one device.
3. It includes face authentication for secure login.
4. You can easily share selected Aadhaar details with anyone whenever needed.
5. You can choose which specific details you want to share.
6. Users can lock or unlock their biometric details.
7. The app also shows where your Aadhaar was last used.

How to Use the App?

1. Open the app and enter your Aadhaar number.
2. Ensure your face is visible clearly under good light for verification.
3. Read and accept the terms and conditions.
4. Enter the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar.
5. Complete the face authentication process.
6. Set a security PIN.
7. Your complete Aadhaar details will appear on the screen.

If the app does not work or your mobile number is not linked, you can visit an Aadhaar centre to update your details.

This new Aadhaar app aims to make identity verification faster, easier, and more secure for everyone.
