DRDO Guest House Manager Arrested for Alleged Spying for Pakistan in Jaisalmer

Jaipur, 6 August – (www.deccanlive.com): Police on Tuesday (August 5, 2025) said that a manager of a Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) guest house has been detained in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district on suspicion of spying for Pakistan.

The accused, identified as Mahendra Prasad from Almora in Uttarakhand, was posted as the manager of the DRDO guest house in the Chandan area of Jaisalmer.

Superintendent of Police Abhishek Shivhare said, “He was taken into custody on Monday. A joint interrogation will be conducted today.”

According to a report by The Hindu citing PTI, police suspect that Prasad shared sensitive information related to strategic operations and activities in the region.

The DRDO conducts missile and weapons testing and trials at the Pokhran firing range in Jaisalmer, and experts and personnel involved in these activities stay at the guest house.
