18 Die of Hunger in Gaza Within 24 Hours — A Living Proof of Genocide

Gaza, 21 July – (www.deccanlive.com): The starvation and blockade policy imposed by occupying Israel has created another tragic reality in Gaza. In the past 24 hours, 18 Palestinian civilians, mostly children, have died due to hunger and lack of food.

According to medical sources, hundreds of patients are being brought to hospitals daily with symptoms like severe weakness, memory loss, and extreme lack of energy. The hospitals have no beds, no medicine, and no fuel.

So far, 86 people have died of hunger, including 76 innocent children. In northern Gaza, about 17,000 children are suffering from acute malnutrition, and at least 800 children are said to be on the verge of death.

The Director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex stated that even the medical staff has been working without food for the past 24 hours. He warned that if food and medicine are not supplied soon, the number of deaths could rise dangerously within hours. He said:

“We are facing an organized genocide, being carried out through starvation.”

UNRWA has also warned that malnutrition in children has doubled. From March to June 2025, over 74,000 children were examined, and thousands were found to be severely malnourished.

The continuous blockade by Israel on the supply of food, medicine, and fuel has not only pushed the healthcare system to the edge of collapse, but it has also turned into a terrifying campaign to destroy human lives.
