Tamil Film Superstar Vijay Hosts Grand Iftar Party in Chennai, Fasts and Prays with Muslims

Chennai, 8 March – (www.deccanlive.com): South Indian superstar actor Thalapathy Vijay organized a grand Iftar party on Friday (March 7). He was seen wearing a white cap and offering prayers. The event was held in Chennai during the holy month of Ramadan. Vijay, the founder and chief of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), wore a complete white outfit and joined his Muslim brothers for Iftar.

Fasted, Prayed, and Broke Fast
According to reports, Vijay observed fasting for the whole day and followed Islamic traditions by breaking his fast and offering prayers. The famous South Indian actor hosted a large-scale Iftar party, which became a major talking point. Known for blockbuster films like Master, Theri, Vijay, and Leo, Vijay is now gradually becoming active in politics.

More than 15 local mosque imams participated in Vijay’s Iftar party. The event provided food for nearly 3,000 people.

After his upcoming movie “Gen Nayagan”, Vijay plans to retire from the film industry. Amid his growing political involvement, the Tamil actor has been given Y-category security cover. From now on, an 8-member security team will be assigned to protect him, including 2 commandos and the rest as police officers.
