Telangana: MTech Student Found Dead in SRSP Canal in Jagtial

Jagtial, 2 February – Parepalli Srikanth, an MTech student from Hyderabad, was found dead in the SRSP canal near Metpalli town on Sunday morning. He had been missing for three days.

Srikanth was studying at the Sangareddy JNTU College. Recently, his lecturer had scolded him in front of other students for his poor academic performance. This made him upset, and he left home four days ago. Later that night, he went missing, and his family reported it to the police.

Local residents discovered the body in the canal and immediately informed the police. Upon arrival, the police confirmed the identity of the deceased as Srikanth, based on details found at the scene. The body was sent to the hospital for a postmortem examination.
