Major Theft in Hyderabad: Elderly Homeowner Tied Up and Attacked; Nepali Gang Escapes With Gold and Cash

A major theft took place in the Karkhana Police Station limits in Hyderabad, where a Nepali gang broke into the house of Captain Giri (75) at Gunrock Enclave and looted valuables worth nearly ₹50 lakh.

According to police, one of the suspects worked in Giri’s house. He, along with four others from Nepal, carried out the robbery. The gang allegedly attacked the elderly homeowner with sticks, tied him up, and ransacked the house.

The thieves stole over 25 tolas of gold and around ₹23 lakh in cash, according to the complaint filed by the victim’s family.

Karkhana police have registered a case and started an investigation. Teams have been formed to trace the gang and recover the stolen property.
