Illegal Injection Racket Busted in Hyderabad; Two Men Arrested

Hyderabad, 14 July – (www.deccanlive.com): In Hyderabad’s Old City, the Task Force police arrested two men who were illegally selling banned injections, mainly targeting young gym-goers. The police seized 423 Mephedrone Sulfate injections, worth around Rs. 5 lakhs, from them.

The police also recovered mobile phones, bikes, and cash from the accused. The arrested men are Mohammed Zubair, a local from the Old City who works as a model, and Vinay, his associate.

Zubair had the habit of using such injections. Over time, he became friends with Vinay. Together, they contacted Kapil, a man from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, and began importing these banned drugs to Hyderabad.

They sold the injections at high prices to youth, especially those attending gyms in the Old City.

After receiving a tip-off, the Chatrinaka police, along with the Task Force, arrested the accused and sent them to judicial custody.
