Important developments have emerged regarding the selection of Iran’s next Supreme Leader. Iranian media say that the committee responsible for this task has made its decision, though the name of the chosen leader has not been officially announced yet.

According to Iran’s news agency ESNA, Mohsen Heidari, a member of the Assembly of Experts, stated that the majority of the assembly agreed on a candidate considered the most suitable for the position.

Mohsen Heidari represents Khuzestan province and is one of the members involved in the Supreme Leader selection process.

Another assembly member, Mohammad Mehdi Mirbagheri, confirmed in a video statement that a strong and clear decision has been made, taking into account the majority opinion of the members. This video was released by the Iranian news agency Fars.

However, authorities have not yet revealed the identity of the new Supreme Leader or announced when the official announcement will be made.
