Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy congratulated Ghazala Hashmi, the newly elected Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, on her remarkable achievement.
In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the Chief Minister said that Ghazala Hashmi’s success is a moment of pride for Hyderabad, the city where she was born before moving to the United States.
He praised her for making history by winning one of the most important political positions in the U.S. and wished her continued success in public service.
Former Minister and BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao also extended his congratulations to Ghazala Hashmi, noting that she has become the first Indian-origin woman to be elected as Virginia’s Lieutenant Governor.
