Israeli Cabinet Approves Controversial Plan for Full Military Occupation of Gaza

Tel Aviv, 8 August – (www.deccanlive.com): Israel’s political and security cabinet has approved a controversial plan to take full military Occupation of Gaza City. The decision came just hours after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Fox News that Israel wants full Occupation over the entire Gaza Strip to eliminate Hamas.

According to a statement from Netanyahu’s office, the Israeli army will prepare to take Occupation of Gaza City, while humanitarian aid will be provided to civilians outside active war zones. Gaza City, located in the northern strip, is the largest and most important urban area in Gaza.

The cabinet stated that in the current situation, no alternative plan could defeat Hamas or secure the release of Israeli hostages.

Government sources said the security cabinet’s resolution still needs approval from the full cabinet, which could happen by Sunday.

Earlier, Palestinian resistance group Hamas condemned Netanyahu’s remarks, accusing him of planning genocide and forced displacement in Gaza. Hamas also alleged that Netanyahu is willing to sacrifice Israeli hostages for his personal political interests and vowed to respond with strong resistance to Israeli aggression.
