Hyderabad Hosts Grand Launch of Syed Kirmani’s Autobiography STUMPED, Siraj Hailed as Cricket Icon

Hyderabad, 10 August – (www.deccanlive.com): Hyderabad hosted a grand event on Sunday (August 10) for the launch of STUMPED, the autobiography of legendary Indian cricketer and Padma Shri award winner Syed Kirmani.
The ceremony, held at Taj Deccan, was attended by Minister Vivek Venkataswamy as the chief guest. Other distinguished guests included MLA Gaddam Vinod, former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin, Team India fast bowler Mohammad Siraj, and several other sports personalities.
Speaking at the event, Minister Venkataswamy said that India’s 1983 World Cup victory remains an unforgettable memory for him, and shared that he learned cricket as a child at the LB Stadium. He praised Mohammad Siraj as a true cricketing icon from Hyderabad.
Plans for Sports Development
The minister announced that an international-standard cricket stadium will be built in Fourth City. He also said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will soon introduce a new sports policy to encourage and support talented athletes. The aim is to create more champions from the state.
The book STUMPED captures Syed Kirmani’s remarkable cricketing journey, experiences, and contributions to Indian cricket. Guests praised Kirmani for his dedication, achievements, and sportsmanship.
