Parked Train Coach Catches Fire in Telangana, Probe Underway

Mahabubabad, 8 August – (www.deccanlive.com): A major fire broke out in a parked train coach at Kesamudram railway station in the early hours of Friday, August 8. The coach, used by railway construction workers for sleeping at night, was completely gutted in the incident.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported as the workers woke up in time and ran to safety.
The incident happened on a railway track where construction of a third line is underway. One of the coaches was kept parked there for workers to rest. For reasons yet to be confirmed, flames suddenly erupted inside the coach and spread quickly.
On noticing the fire, staff members alerted the fire department and police. Firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control, but by then, the coach had been destroyed.
Authorities are now investigating the cause of the fire. Possibilities include a short circuit, intentional arson, or the presence of flammable or explosive materials inside the coach.
Railway officials and police are jointly conducting the inquiry to determine what triggered the incident.
