Horrific Accident in Mahbubnagar: Oil Tanker Catches Fire, Driver Burned Alive

A tragic road accident took place in Hanwada mandal of Mahbubnagar district late Wednesday night, leaving one person burned alive after a massive fire.
According to details, the incident happened around 12:30 am near Palle Muni Colony – Pilli Gundo on the Mahbubnagar–Tandur main road. A petrol-filled oil tanker and a steel-container truck collided head-on at high speed.
The impact was so strong that the tanker exploded immediately, and flames spread across the entire area within seconds.
Hearing the loud explosion, locals quickly alerted the police. The driver of the steel container truck managed to escape by jumping out of the vehicle. However, police suspect that the tanker driver was trapped inside and burned to death in the fire.
Hanwada Sub-Inspector Venkatesh reached the spot soon after receiving the information. Firefighters were called in, and efforts were made to bring the fire under control.
Police said further investigation is underway to identify the deceased and determine the exact cause of the accident.
