Jewish Settlers Attack Palestinians During Iftar in West Bank, Many Injured

West Bank, 9 March – (www.deccanlive.com): In the occupied West Bank, Jewish settlers attacked Palestinian villages and towns during iftar, injuring several fasting people.

According to local sources, armed settlers from the illegal Susya settlement, built on the lands of Masafer Yatta, attacked residents of Wadi Jouheish under the protection of Israeli forces. Among the victims were women and children. Many fasting individuals were injured during the attack. The settlers also beat a Palestinian citizen named Ibrahim Al-Nawajah with sticks and uprooted several trees in the area.

Additionally, Israeli forces arrested a disabled Palestinian man, Ahmed Khaled Al-Najjar, while he was herding his sheep near his home in Khirbet Qawis, located in Masafer Yatta.

In another incident, settlers blocked a road leading to the Mina Desert, southeast of Bethlehem, using stones. This happened while Palestinian villagers were on their way to plant olive trees.

Reports show that Israeli forces and settlers carried out 1,705 attacks in the West Bank during February. Israeli forces were responsible for 1,475 of these attacks, while settlers carried out 230 attacks. The highest number of attacks occurred in Nablus, with 300 incidents, followed by Hebron with 267 attacks.
