Nizamabad Encounter: Murder Accused Riyaz Shot Dead After Escape Attempt in Hospital

In a dramatic turn of events, Riyaz, the accused in the recent murder of a police constable in Telangana’s Nizamabad district, was killed in an encounter on Sunday.
According to sources, Riyaz had been injured and was under police custody at Nizamabad Government Hospital for treatment. Officials said he underwent multiple X-rays earlier in the day. However, during treatment, he allegedly snatched a constable’s rifle and tried to escape.
Police acted swiftly and opened fire to stop him, which resulted in Riyaz’s death on the spot. Reports suggest that an Armed Reserve constable was seriously injured in the exchange of fire.
Authorities have said that further details on the incident will be released soon, as an official investigation is currently underway.
