A massive fire broke out on Monday evening at Gomti Electronics in Shah Ali Banda, creating panic across the area after multiple blasts were heard from inside the shop.
According to reports, the extreme heat triggered explosions in several AC and washing machine compressors, causing loud bangs that shook the locality.

As the fire spread, thick smoke and high flames covered the building, forcing people in the nearby houses and shops to rush out in fear. The fire brigade reached the spot quickly and began efforts to stop the fire from spreading to nearby commercial units and residential buildings.

Due to the seriousness of the situation, the police temporarily closed the Charminar–Chandrayangutta main road, one of the Old City’s busiest routes, and diverted all traffic to alternate roads.

Because of the continuous blasts and heavy smoke, residents of nearby buildings were evacuated as a precaution to avoid any major tragedy.

So far, the cause of the fire is still unknown, and authorities are waiting for more details. There is no immediate information about any injuries or casualties.
Firefighting operations are still underway.
