Hyderabad, 18 July – (www.deccanlive.com): In a strange incident, a thief who entered a house quietly at midnight for a robbery ended up falling asleep under the fan, snoring peacefully like he owned the place!

This unusual event took place in the Boduppal area of Hyderabad, under the Medipally police station limits, on Wednesday, July 16.

Here’s what happened:

V. Shankar, a private employee living in Sri Sairam Nagar, Boduppal, had gone with his family to Vijayawada on Wednesday. That same night, they returned home around midnight, only to find their main door lock broken.

Worried, Shankar opened the door and peeked inside — to his shock, he found an unknown man sleeping comfortably under the ceiling fan inside his house.

Shankar immediately called the police.

The police arrived quickly and found the thief still fast asleep. It took them a while to wake him up. When he finally opened his eyes, the thief was startled and embarrassed, realizing where he was and what he had done.

He had planned to steal quietly and run away, but sleep got the better of him.

The police caught him red-handed, arrested him, and took him to the police station. A case was registered, and further investigation is underway.
