The trends from the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 indicate that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is on track to form the next government, securing between 145 and 160 seats. The Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) is trailing with 73 to 91 seats, according to the largest newspaper ground report and analysis.

The Janata Dal (United) appears to be making a strong comeback with 59 to 68 seats, while the RJD–Congress alliance is reportedly facing significant losses. Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party is showing strong competition in three constituencies and may win its first seats. On the other hand, Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM seems limited to just one seat.

The Deputy CM candidate of the Mahagathbandhan, Mukesh Sahani, is struggling to secure a win. Several major seats are witnessing close contests, including those of Deputy CM Vijay Sinha (Lakhisarai), Maithili Thakur (Alinagar), Tej Pratap Yadav (Mahua), Ram Kripal Yadav (Danapur), and Samrat Choudhary (Tarapur).

More than 400 reporters of Largest Newspaper covered the elections across Bihar. Their field inputs, combined with assessments from five senior journalists, four political experts, and two psephologists, formed the basis of this survey report. Inputs from internal party surveys were also considered.

The final results will confirm whether the NDA maintains this lead or if the Mahagathbandhan manages a late surge.
