10 Soldiers Killed, 11 Injured as Army Vehicle Falls into Gorge in Jammu

In a tragic incident, an Indian Army vehicle fell into a deep gorge in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. At least 10 soldiers lost their lives in the accident.
According to Army officials, 21 soldiers were travelling in the vehicle at the time of the incident. Eleven soldiers were seriously injured and were airlifted to the Udhampur Military Hospital for treatment.
The accident took place at Khanni Top on the Bhaderwah–Chamba inter-state road. Officials said the soldiers were on their way to a post located in a higher area when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to plunge nearly 400 feet into a gorge.
Lieutenant Governor Expresses Grief
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed deep sorrow over the incident. He said he was saddened by the tragic loss of lives and added that the entire nation stands with the grieving families in this difficult time.
He also confirmed that the injured soldiers were quickly airlifted to the hospital and that senior officials have been instructed to ensure the best possible medical care. The Lieutenant Governor prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured soldiers.
