Tension in Haryana: Extremists Try to Hoist Saffron Flag on Eidgah Minaret, Muslims Protest

Nuh – Haryana, 9 July – (www.deccanlive.com): In Nuh district of Haryana, a group of religious extremists tried to hoist a saffron flag on the minaret of an Eidgah (Muslim prayer ground), which led to protests by local Muslims.

According to media reports, the incident happened in Unton village near Tauru. Two young men climbed the minaret of the Eidgah early in the morning and tried to place a saffron flag there. This act caused tension in the area.

Local Muslims strongly protested against this illegal and provocative act. The police arrived quickly, removed the flag, and arrested the two young men.

The extremists not only tried to place the flag but also recorded a video of the act and made it viral on social media. This has raised concerns that it may have been a planned attempt to disturb peace in the area.

Local residents have demanded strict action against those responsible.
