Nagpur Violence: Injured Iqbal Ansari Dies During Treatment

Nagpur, 22 March – (www.deccanlive.com): Iqbal Ansari, who was injured during the Nagpur violence over the demand to demolish Aurangzeb’s tomb, has passed away while undergoing treatment.

To restore peace after the violence, police imposed a curfew in 11 areas of Nagpur. Even after six days, curfew remains in nine areas, showing the severity of the situation.

On March 17, when the violence broke out, Iqbal Ansari was attacked by a mob and suffered serious injuries. He was admitted to Mayo Hospital in Nagpur for treatment.

Due to his critical condition, he was kept in the ICU, but unfortunately, he did not survive. After the violence, a curfew was imposed in 11 police station areas of Nagpur. On Thursday, the Police Commissioner lifted the curfew in two areas, while it continues in the remaining nine areas on the sixth day.
