Hyderabad Police made major progress in the murder case of senior advocate Khaja Moizuddin by detaining four accused persons connected to the crime. Police teams traced the suspects to Goa and are bringing them back to Hyderabad for further investigation.

According to police sources, the detained accused have been identified as Vinay Singh, Abhijeet, who allegedly drove the vehicle, Kishan Singh, and Jaffer. Investigators said Vinay Singh was also present in the car during the planning and execution of the murder.

Police also traced and seized the black Scorpio car that was allegedly used in the crime. The original owner of the vehicle was also questioned. He reportedly told police that he had sold the vehicle nearly six months ago, but the ownership transfer process was not completed officially.

A special investigation team from Nampally Police Station, along with the Commissioner’s Task Force, conducted the operation. Officials tracked the accused through mobile phone locations and quickly detained them in Goa. They are now being shifted to Hyderabad by flight.

Sources said police had identified the accused and the vehicle on the same day the murder took place. During the investigation, officers examined footage from more than 200 CCTV cameras, which reportedly provided strong evidence about the movement of the suspects.

Police also confirmed the presence of the accused near the victim’s residence through mobile tower location data.

Meanwhile, under the supervision of ACP Abids Praveen Kumar, police questioned Mehboob Alam Khan and his son Mujahid Alam Khan at the ACP office. Pictures related to the questioning later went viral on social media.

Sources added that investigators have almost solved the case, including details about the conspiracy and execution of the murder. Hyderabad Police are likely to reveal full details during a press conference on Monday.

Reports suggest that the murder conspiracy was initially planned in December 2025 but was delayed for unknown reasons. Recently, a land dispute related to the Mumtaz Yar-ud-Daula Waqf property in Malakpet came back into discussion, and separate cases were also registered. Police suspect these developments may have led to the execution of the murder plan.
