Kurnool Bus Accident: Families Receive Bodies of 10 Victims After DNA Confirmation

Authorities have handed over the bodies of 10 victims of the Kurnool bus accident to their families after DNA test reports confirmed their identities. Death certificates were also provided to the families. The process was overseen by District Collector A. Siri, and ambulances were arranged to transport the bodies to their native places.
It is reported that 19 passengers in the bus died on the spot during the accident. Regarding another unidentified body, one person from Chittoor came forward claiming his father was missing. Kurnool SP Vikrant Patil stated that the DNA test report will confirm the identity of this deceased person.
The SP also clarified that the bus driver was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident, according to the official investigation.
Authorities continue to support the families of the victims while the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
