Telangana: School Bus Catches Fire in Sangareddy

Sangareddy, 10 July – (www.deccanlive.com): A school bus caught fire near Kistareddypet village in Telangana’s Sangareddy district on Thursday morning. Luckily, all students are safe.

The bus belonged to Delhi Public School (DPS). The fire started while the bus was picking up students. A security guard from a nearby apartment saw sparks near the battery and quickly informed the driver. The driver stopped the bus, and all five students inside got out safely.

Soon after, the fire spread and the entire bus burned down before the fire engine could arrive. Police said this was a new vehicle, and the fire may have started due to a battery issue. No one was hurt.

Police are still checking the exact cause of the fire.

This is not the first time such an incident has happened. In May this year, a private bus caught fire on the Suryapet-Khammam highway. That fire started after a tyre burst, but luckily, the bus was empty and the driver jumped out safely.

Authorities are reminding bus owners to check their vehicles regularly to prevent such accidents.
