Female Teacher Accused of Sexually Harassing 11th Grade Student in Mumbai School

Mumbai, 3 July – (www.deccanlive.com): A female teacher at a well-known school in Mumbai has been accused of sexually harassing an 11th-grade male student. The teacher first met the student in 2023 while preparing for a group dance performance during the school’s anniversary celebration.

Later, the teacher took the boy to several five-star hotels and told him that such relationships between teachers and students were normal. She also gave him alcohol and, when he became very upset, gave him medicine to calm him down.

The boy’s parents noticed a change in his behavior and were shocked to learn the truth after investigating. They did not complain at first, thinking their son would soon finish school and no longer be in contact with the teacher.

However, even after the student left school following his board exams, the teacher continued trying to contact him. This led the parents to finally report the matter to the police.

The police have arrested the female teacher and registered a case under the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses). An investigation is now underway.

(Note: The POCSO Act is a law in India that protects children under 18 from sexual abuse.)
