Telangana Government Simplifies Ration Card Application Process via Mee Seva Centers

Hyderabad, 7 February – (DeccanLive.com): The Telangana government has made an important decision to simplify the process of issuing new Food Security (Ration) Cards and adding family members to existing cards.

Key Details:

1. Application through Mee Seva Centers:
   Citizens across the state can now submit applications for new ration cards and updates to existing cards through Mee Seva Centers for quicker and more convenient service.
2. Cabinet Sub-Committee Formed:
   A Cabinet Sub-Committee has been set up to review eligibility criteria and the application process for ration cards. Based on its recommendations, the state cabinet approved measures on January 4, 2025, to make the process faster and simpler.
3. Instructions to District Collectors:
   The Chief Secretary has instructed all district collectors to expedite the issuance of ration cards, the addition of members to existing cards, and processes related to schemes like Indiramma Housing and Indiramma Atma Nirbhar Scheme.
4. Praja Palana Seva Kendras:
   Citizens can also submit applications through Praja Palana Seva Kendras, ensuring greater accessibility and convenience for the public.

This decision aims to ensure timely support for eligible individuals and make the system more efficient.
