Rajasthan’s ultra marathon runner Sufiya Sufi has once again made the country proud by setting a new Guinness World Record in the Himalayas.

Sufiya completed the extremely difficult 480-kilometre run from Manali to Leh in just 98 hours and 27 minutes. With this achievement, she broke her own previous record, which she had set on the same route in 2021.

In 2021, Sufiya had already created history by completing this challenging run. This time, she decided to challenge herself again. She trained harder, focused more on her fitness, and prepared herself mentally. Her dedication helped her finish the run in even less time than before.

The Manali–Leh route is considered one of the toughest running routes in the world. Runners face high mountains, sharp turns, freezing winds, and very low oxygen levels. For most people, even walking on this route is difficult. Despite these harsh conditions, Sufiya continued running without giving up.

By completing this dangerous route in less than 100 hours, Sufiya Sufi has become the fastest woman to achieve this feat. Her success is not just a record but also a big inspiration for women across the country, proving that with strong determination, women can achieve anything.
