Trader Arrested Near Charminar, Country-Made Pistol Seized by Hyderabad Police

Hyderabad police have arrested a trader near the Charminar area and seized a country-made pistol from him. The arrest was made by the Special Crime Team (CCS) along with Hussaini Alam police.
According to police officials, the accused was keeping the weapon to threaten people and create fear among the public. The arrested person has been identified as Amjad Khan, who runs a business in the Charminar area.
Police said that Amjad Khan had recently returned to Hyderabad after working in Saudi Arabia. During investigation, it was found that he had purchased the country-made pistol around ten months ago from a person named Avinash alias Kalu in Madhya Pradesh for ₹80,000.
The police recovered the pistol along with a OnePlus mobile phone from the accused. While Amjad Khan has been arrested, the other accused involved in the case, Avinash and Amit, are still absconding.
Hyderabad police have warned citizens that anyone illegally possessing weapons should immediately surrender them at the nearest police station. The police said strict monitoring is being carried out across the city, and the use or possession of illegal weapons will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
