A.R. Rahman Visits Ameen Peer Dargah in Kadapa, Offers Chadar as Urs Celebrations Begin

Renowned Oscar-winning music composer A.R. Rahman visited the Ameen Peer Dargah in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, on Wednesday to take part in the annual Urs celebrations.

Rahman, who has a deep spiritual connection with the shrine, offered a chadar (sacred cloth) and prayed for peace and blessings. The Dargah authorities welcomed him warmly and guided him during the rituals.

The Urs festivities began with great devotion and respect. The first day featured the traditional Sandal procession, which started from the residence of the shrine’s caretaker. A.R. Rahman joined the procession and offered special prayers along with other devotees.

The Ameen Peer Dargah holds a special spiritual significance and attracts thousands of visitors from across the country every year, including celebrities and devotees from different faiths.
