South Africa defeated India by 408 runs in the Guwahati Test, completing a 2–0 clean sweep in the series. With this win, the South African team has beaten India at home after 25 years. The last time India faced a similar defeat was in the year 2000 when South Africa won the two-match series 2–0.

This series also grabbed attention because, during the first Test, Jasprit Bumrah had reportedly called South African captain Temba Bavuma “short”. Now, the same Bavuma-led team has swept the series.

India All Out for 140 While Chasing 549
