Hyderabad’s Muffakham Jah (MJ) College Gets Temporary Permission from High Court for Admissions

Hyderabad, 10 July – (www.deccanlive.com): The Telangana High Court has granted temporary relief to Muffakham Jah (MJ) College of Engineering & Technology, allowing it to participate in student counseling and admissions for the 2025–26 academic year.

The college is run by the Sultan-ul-Uloom Educational Society, which had filed a case against AICTE for canceling its approval. The AICTE said the college did not submit proper land documents and building plans for its campus at Banjara Hills.

The court directed AICTE to permit admissions but clarified that the approval is provisional and depends on the final verdict.

The college had challenged AICTE’s decision to revoke approval over missing land documents. Considering the impact on 1,500 students, the court allowed temporary admissions and ordered the college to clearly mention the provisional status on its website.

The next hearing is on July 23.
