Asaduddin Owaisi Raised the Issue of Protecting Hindus in Bangladesh

New Delhi, December 13 (UL): In response to a question in Lok Sabha about the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said that there have been several incidents of violence against minorities there. He added that India is aware of these incidents and has taken note of them. Recently, the Indian Foreign Minister visited Dhaka, and during the meeting, this issue was also discussed.

Jaishankar expressed hope that Bangladesh will take appropriate steps to ensure the safety of its minorities. During the Lok Sabha session, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi raised questions about the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh and other issues related to foreign policy.

Additionally, the Minister answered a question about Myanmar, stating that the Indian government is reviewing its “Open Regime” policy with Myanmar. This policy allows people to cross the border freely. However, India has currently suspended this policy.
