Hindutva activist Kajal Hindusthani Delivers Hate Speech in New York, Calls Muslims “Zombies”

Hyderabad, 24 July – (www.deccanlive.com): Kajal Hindusthani, known for her hate speeches against Muslims, spoke at an event in New York organized by a right-wing Hindutva group. In her speech, she used insulting words like “Abdul” and “zombies” to describe Muslims and called them “enemies of Hindus.” She compared them to demons from Hindu stories and accused them of trying to take over India.
She also said Muslims are growing in number and claimed Hindu homes would be taken by “Abduls.” She attacked Muslim actors like Salman Khan and Saif Ali Khan, accusing them of marrying Hindu women to convert them, spreading the idea of “love jihad.” She further claimed Muslim men get money from oil-rich countries to lure Hindu women.
Before her U.S. visit, civil rights groups including Muslim, Christian, Hindu, and Sikh organizations called for her events to be canceled. In response, she used offensive language again, saying, “It’s not the Mullahs’ America.”
Her speech was met with applause by many in the Indian-American audience, raising concerns about growing hate speech in the diaspora.
Kajal was earlier jailed in India in 2023 for inciting anti-Muslim violence. A report by India Hate Lab said she gave more hate speeches than any other Hindu nationalist that year. Out of 35 speeches, 9 openly promoted violence against Christians and Muslims.
She is known for supporting Hindutva politics and regularly appears at events by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). She also has over 200,000 followers on social media, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
After Kajal Hindusthani’s provocative and hateful remarks, many secular Indians have strongly demanded that the Government of India and law enforcement authorities take strict action against her. They say her speech spreads hate and can create problems between different religious groups. People are urging the authorities to not ignore such speeches and to protect peace and unity in the country.
