Hyderabad: Gunman of HYDRA Commissioner Attempts Suicide, Condition Critical

Krishna Chaitanya, the personal gunman of HYDRA Commissioner Ranganath, attempted suicide on Sunday morning at his house in Hayathnagar on the outskirts of Hyderabad. He reportedly shot himself with his service gun.
Family members immediately rushed him to Kamineni Hospital in LB Nagar. Doctors said his condition is critical, and surgery is currently being performed.
HYDRA Commissioner Ranganath said that Krishna Chaitanya attempted suicide due to severe financial problems. He explained that around two years ago, the gunman got into financial trouble because of betting and gaming apps. Due to heavy debts, a large portion of his salary was being deducted every month.
The commissioner also revealed that Krishna Chaitanya had left his home about three months ago due to family issues, following which a missing complaint was filed at Hayathnagar Police Station. Since then, he had been suffering from neurological problems.
Despite these issues, he was performing his duties normally. However, on Sunday morning, he attempted to take his own life. Police have taken note of the incident and further investigation is underway.
