Senior Samajwadi Party leader and former minister Azam Khan has once again shown restraint and maturity in his recent statement. Reacting to the controversial remarks made by former BJP MLA Raghvendra Singh, Azam Khan said it is better to stay silent in the face of provocation.

He said, “It is wise to remain silent in such matters. There’s an old saying that silence is better than arguing with the ignorant. If we react to such statements, their purpose will be fulfilled.”

When asked whether he would take action against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath if the Samajwadi Party comes to power in Uttar Pradesh in 2027, Azam Khan calmly replied, “My religion does not allow me to take revenge.” He added, “If we do the same things that were done to us, then what difference remains between us and them?”

It is worth mentioning that during Yogi Adityanath’s rule, several cases were filed against Azam Khan, and he even spent time in prison. Despite this, he made it clear that he harbors no desire for revenge.

In an interview with a news agency, Azam Khan stated, “I have held high positions in the government, but there is no stain of dishonesty on me. Out of the 114 cases filed against me, not one is related to corruption or commission-taking.”
