Director of Major Gaza Hospital Killed in Israeli Attack

Gaza, 3 July – (www.deccanlive.com): Palestinian officials and eyewitnesses said on Wednesday that the director of Indonesia Hospital in Gaza was killed in an Israeli airstrike. This hospital is one of the most important hospitals in Gaza.

According to international news agency AFP, a close relative, Ahmed Al-Sultan, confirmed that Dr. Marwan Al-Sultan was killed along with his wife, daughter, and son-in-law during the Israeli bombing.

Dr. Marwan’s body was taken to Al-Shifa Hospital. The hospital’s director, Dr. Mohammad Abu Salmiya, told AFP that Dr. Marwan’s face was unrecognizable due to the injuries.

The Gaza Health Ministry strongly condemned the attack and called it unbearable. In an official statement, they prayed that God accepts the martyrdom of Dr. Marwan and his family, stating that he served his people until his last breath.

The Israeli army confirmed they carried out an attack in Gaza, saying it was targeted at Hamas positions. They also said they are currently reviewing claims that civilians may have been killed in the attack.
