District Election Officer R.V. Karnan has stated that cases have been filed against several non-local public representatives for violating the election code of conduct during the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election.

He said that officials have identified a few MLAs and MLCs who were found present near polling booths without permission, which is a clear violation of election rules. Strict action will be taken against those involved, he added.

Meanwhile, BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha alleged that her party workers were attacked by Corporator Baba Fasiuddin and his supporters. She claimed that despite repeated complaints, police failed to take action against the attackers.

Maganti Sunitha urged the authorities to ensure that the polling process remains peaceful and fair, stating that it is the responsibility of the police to prevent such incidents during elections.
